July 10,
After many calls, we secured a two day reservation at the West Yellowstone KOA. We left Cody on Rt. 20 for a ride next to the Shoshone River and through Yellowstone. It was only a 140 mile drive but it took us about 5 hours, stopping for construction and bear sightings. We did get to travel the East entrance and part of the lower loop around to the West entrance.
The first picture is one of three tunnels leading to the Buffalo Bill Reservoir and Dam. The second is the mountains by the reservoir. The third--a buffalo in Yellowstone and the fourth, Beryl Springs-a Yellowstone Hot Spring.
