July 11,
We were very happy when we realized we could finish all we wanted to see in Yellowstone in just one day. We had called all the rv parks-in and out of Yellowstone and there were no vacancies.
We stopped at Norris Geyser Basin and Roaring Mountain (top picture-notice the steam in the middle). We then proceded to Sheepeater Cliff, named for Indians that used to live in the area. It's a collection of lava tubes.
We almost missed the pretty waterfall-it's more visible on the return trip. It was a pleasant surprise and kind of replaced the Gibbon Falls that we could not see due to the construction between Madison and Norris. I then got to drive out on thin air!!!
