Coquille River Lighthouse

September 3,
Though the light is across the river, The Coquille River Light has become the symbol of Bandon.
We drove to the light through Bullard's Beach State Park. The beach was covered with all sizes and shapes of driftwood.
The huge rocks in the background are across the river, off the coast of Bandon. The lighthouse is being restored, but the interior is quite empty and cold, making it a little tough on the people who host the light during the day.
The bottom picture is in Old Bandon and shows the light as it once was. Very few keeper's houses have survived
