October 7,
We again decided that the easiest way to see all the sights was by tour. We took a tour that picked us up at the campground in Long Beach and covered all the spots we wanted to see and more. We started our tour at the Griffith Observatory where we had a great view of the famous Hollywood sign and the vast Los Angeles skyine. We then headed to Hollywood and checked out Graumann's Chinese Theater with it's famous handprints, footprints, hoofprints, cigarprints and signatures. We also walked on the Walk of Fame checking out the Stars of the famous.
After lunch at Mel's Diner we went by many of the stars homes--all quite impressive. We then drove down Rodeo Drive, which looked like any other very high end shopping area.
We finished our day at Venice Beach, which was not one of the nicest beaches we saw in Southern California but it did have the largest collection of street people and wierdos.
On our way home we passed over the Port of Los Angeles where thousands of containers waited for delivery either here or back overseas. It is the third largest port in the world.
No stars were sighted....................
