The gardens at the mission were very well kept and beautiful. There were ponds with beautiful water lilies of all colors and very large koi. We visited on a Saturday and because of the spectacular grounds we saw 5 wedding parties during our short time there. When we got to the chapel, we found it had been destroyed by an earthquake long ago. Unfortunately, it was never rebuilt.
