October 8,
We took a ride north on The Pacific Coast Highway and stopped at the Point Fermin Lighthouse. It looked very much like the Hereford Inlet Light in New Jersey. Both were well restored and surrounded by flowers.
We continued up the coast to Redondo Beach, seeing many beautiful hill communities. On the way back we found the Point Vincente Light. The quilt was in the visitors center, a beautiful fabric interpretation of the area. The light itself is an active Coast Guard facility with tours only given once a month.
