We spent the weekend driving around Lake Couer D'Alene, a huge lake by Connecticut standards. It is over 25 miles long and there are few beaches as the shores climb almost straight up. This does not stop many people from finding a place to launch their boats and enjoying the lake. We went through a nature preserve where we saw ospreys---many of them nest here for the summer.
