August 11,
We decided to take the Scenic Route to Neah Bay-the westernmost and northernmost point of the continental U.S. It was a long and winding road close to the ocean. The only drawback was the ocean was often obscured by fog. L.D. and Lily really enjoy being back by the ocean and Lily also enjoyed the resident ducks at the campground.
The fog cleared for some beautiful views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Vancouver Island. Notice the fog bank by the island. We were nearing Neah Bay when we passed Sail and Seal Rocks. There were campgrounds and fishing boats all along the coast.
