Our last journey with Jon and Annie was from Sedro-Wooley to Diablo Lake
Sedro-Wooley is known for it's murals and chain saw sculpture. We stopped at the Newhalem Visitor's Center where the gazebo was created from old high line parts. Newhalem came to be in the early 1900s when the power from the Skagit River was harnessed. It still is a small, very remote town for those that run the power plant. We continued on the Diablo Lake. We were surrounded by beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
