One of the important destinations of our trip was Acme, Washington to visit my brother Jon and his wife Annie. We arrived early so we could spend two full days with them, Jon's days off. He surprised us by taking another whole week off. Their house is a spacious and interesting five, half floor areas. Their yard is filled with flower and vegetable gardens
. They learned to garden in the Pacific Northwest by using raised beds with covers to extend the growing season and using greenhouses to give tomatoes, squash and cucumbers enough heat to mature. They also have chickens and bees. We truly enjoyed the vegetables, eggs, honey and pesto.
